Get ready for an unforgettable night at the 2026 ILHS Union Hall of Honor celebrating public-safety workers! We are pleased to announce that this year's honorees are David Foreman, a former Joliet firefighter and past president of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois; Florence Kelley (1859-1932), a Hull House worker who became Illinois’ first factory inspector; and Chicago Fire Department Engine Company Number 21 (founded in 1872), an African American firehouse credited with inventing the fire pole.
They are being honored for their advocacy of union and human rights, and for their work to engage union members and labor activists. Bring your friends and join us for an evening full of stories, laughter, and memorable moments connecting labor's past and present.
