The Bread and Roses Heritage Festival is a celebration of the labor history and cultural diversity of Lawrence, MA. Every Labor Day, the
Bread & Roses Heritage Committee commemorates the 1912 Strike with arts performances, educational workshops, social justice presentations, local food and crafts vendors, and walking and trolley tours sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Heritage State Park.

The Bread and Roses Heritage Committee was founded in 1985 to plan events commemorating the 75th anniversary of the 1912 Lawrence textile strike and takes its name from this landmark event in American labor history.
