We’re so excited to share with YOU and the larger Chattanooga community the songs we’ve been singing together weekly for the past few weeks!
I hear stories regularly about how these songs show up as Medicine Songs, Songs of Sustenance, and Songs that Support us in standing beside and with ourselves and others when we need courage and compassion. We sing together to drop the messages of these songs in our pockets for the moments we need them most.
Thank you, Songs!
Bring your friends and family and join us.
Sunday, September 13th
Doors at 3:45pm
Singing from 4:00-5:30pm
5:30-6:30pm Potluck dinner following for all. Bring your favorite dish and stay to share a meal with us!
From 6:30-8:00pm the Raliegh-based singing ensemble Fruit of Labor will share an acoustic concert with us. "The Fruit of Labor’s songs and music touches all because it is rooted in our people’s ageless traditions of chants, call and response, spirituals, reggae, jazz, blues, R&B, soul, folk, hip-hop and spoken word. It’s an exciting mixed bag of dancing, energy, down in your bones spiritual and “fightback” coming at you!"
This is in partnership with the Chattanooga Area Labor Council.
