FREE MAY DAY CONCERT AT THE NEW FARM
Three bands celebrate May Day in a free concert on Saturday, May 3, at the the New Farm in San Francisco.
PAT WYNNE and her legendary Rockin' Solidarity Labor Chorus kicks off the event at 2pm.
RED DUST, a deep slice of spirited Americana, follows at 3 pm. The band's recent release, the "Picket Line"--a song for striking workers--
was named "Labor Video of the Week" by the Labor Heritage Foundation in March.
The YERBA BUENA JUG BAND, a self-described "group of miscreants who play an eclectic mix of classical jug band, blues, ragtime and hokum music
closes the festivities at 4pm.
The New Farm, a non-profit, community-run performing outdoor space, is located at 10 Cargo Way. Admission to the May Day celebration is free.
Picnics welcomed, as are donations to the New Farm.
