About this event

Oakland University historian Dan Clark has used oral histories with UAW members to shed life on the start of the Union's rise as one the nation's strongest labor organizations in the 1950s.
Clark will be the next presenter in the R E Olds Museum's lecture series on Thursday, April 3 at 6 PM, speaking on the topic, "The UAW's Golden Age: Looking Back at Autoworkers in the 1950s".
Clark's talk is based on his latest book, Listening to Workers: Oral Histories of Metro Detroit Autoworkers in the 1950s (University of Illinois Press, 2024) which was recently named a 2024 Michigan Notable Book.
