Dance Protest Backs Kennedy Center Workers

Last weekend, Pride At Work along with Hands Off The Arts organized a dance
protest with local D.C. dance group Project ChArma at the Kennedy Center's National Dance Day in support of the workers in the building, especially the Kennedy Center workers unionizing with UAW who were recently fired in an illegal act of union busting. Chris and Ama of Project ChArma bravely stood in solidarity with Kennedy Center workers, demanding that management stop union busting and censorship.
After revealing a banner that read “Hands Off The Arts,” Chris and Ama led the group of over 100 in a line dance, chanting "union power!," “What’s disgusting? Union busting!,” and “Hands off the arts!.”
“We will continue to fight authoritarianism with art and joy,” says Pride At Work.”They attack the arts because they think we are weak - but we are stronger, smarter and more organized than they can imagine. And we will never stop.” Click here to sign the petition to Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell.
