Fruit of Labor scores Raleigh Medal of Arts

The Fruit of Labor World Cultural Center is one of the 2024 Raleigh Medal of Arts awardees. The Raleigh Medal of Arts is awarded for extraordinary achievement in the practice or support of local arts in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Fruit of Labor World Cultural Center (FOLWCC) offers an enriching cultural and social justice educational experience to a diverse community and is the home of the the Fruit of Labor Singing Ensemble, which creates music from the struggles of organizing African American workers in North Carolina and the South. A ceremony celebrating the awardees will be held on Tuesday, October 8, at 7 p.m. at Raleigh Little Theatre.
